ABOUT US

Lumena is a psychology service focused on providing assessment, diagnosis and interventions for individuals with ADHD and related neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions.
Lumena is founded by Dr Joseph Wagner, a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist, with extensive experience in working with people with ADHD.
At Lumena, we are committed to working with the latest evidence, and our focus is on ensuring a comprehensive assessment and tailored support, so that each person can work toward overcoming their unique challenges.
WHAT IS ADHD?
Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects how the brain regulates attention, activity levels, impulses, and executive function.

ADHD is not simply a problem of concentration or motivation. It reflects differences in how the brain manages focus, organisation, emotional regulation, time, and mental effort. These differences can impact learning, work performance, relationships, and daily functioning across the lifespan.

ADHD presents differently in each person. Some individuals experience persistent inattention and mental fatigue, others struggle with restlessness, impulsivity, or emotional intensity, and many experience a combination of these features. With the right assessment, understanding, and support, individuals with ADHD can develop effective strategies and thrive in ways that align with their strengths.
OUR SERVICE
Neuropsychological and Psychological Assessment
We provide comprehensive, evidence-based assessmenents for ADHD and related neurodevelopmental conditions.
Diagnostic Clarification
ADHD often co-occurs with other conditions and can overlap with a range of psychological presentations. Accurate diagnosis is therefore essential.
Evidence-based interventions
We offer interventions informed by contemporary research which focus on attention, memory, executive functioning, and emotional regulation.
Other Neurodevelopmental Conditions
We assess and support individuals with autism spectrum condition, learning disorders, and other conditions where presentations are complex, subtle, or accompanied by co-occuring emotional or functional difficulties.
Trauma and other mental health conditions
Experiences of trauma may interact with or mimic features of ADHD. We provide evidence-based psychological therapy for trauma, such as EMDR.
In-person and Telehealth Services
Appointments are available both in person and via secure telehealth, allowing flexibility and accessibility while maintaining high standards.
